In uncertain times, our bodies and nervous systems often carry the weight of the unknown. In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll explore how understanding your body’s natural responses to stress can help you navigate periods of upheaval with greater ease.

Grounded in the science of Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and imbued with BodyIntelligence, this workshop offers practical tools to support your nervous system, build safe connections, and restore balance, even when the world feels unpredictable.

You will learn:

  • How your nervous system responds to external uncertainty and stress.
  • Practical tools for recognizing and supporting your body’s signals.
  • Techniques for building safe, supportive connections during times of instability.
  • The importance of agency and choice in managing stress and uncertainty.

Join us for a science-based, compassionate approach to handling stress that doesn’t require perfect outcomes but focuses on what works best for you in each moment.

No prior experience is necessary. This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning more about how to support themselves and others through challenging times. Registrants will receive the recording, slides, and notes.

Cost: $50, $35, or $10. Choose the price that best suits your circumstances

About Shay Seaborne, CPTSD

Former tall ship sailor turned trauma awareness activist-artist Shay Seaborne, CPTSD has studied the neurobiology of fear / trauma /PTSD since 2015. She writes, speaks, teaches, and makes art to convey her experiences as well as her understanding of the neurobiology of fear, trauma theory, and principles of trauma recovery. A native of Northern Virginia, Shay settled in Delaware to sail KALMAR NYCKEL, the state’s tall ship. She wishes everyone could recognize PTSD is not a mental health problem, but a neurophysiological condition rooted in dysregulation, our mainstream culture is neuro-negative, and we need to understand we can heal ourselves and each other through awareness, understanding, and safe connection.
